Committee Update

After many years of dedicated service, our experienced trio of Alan Henry, Murray Goodall, and Ian Marshall will be stepping down from the committee.

We sincerely thank them for their commitment and contribution to Greenacres Golf Club over the years. Their efforts have helped shape the club into what it is today.

This also presents a fantastic opportunity for new members to join the committee and help continue moving our great club forward in a positive direction.

Mental Health Ambrose Tournament

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Sunday's Mental Health Ambrose Tournament.

The weather was fantastic, the turnout was excellent, and most importantly, it was all in support of a very worthwhile cause. We greatly appreciate everyone's generosity and support.

Membership Subscriptions

Membership subscriptions for the 2026/27 season were issued last week.

As we transition to a new payment and subscription tracking system, there has understandably been some confusion. Thank you for your patience while we work through the changeover.

Please note:

  • Outstanding balances from previous seasons may be included in your total.
  • Bank account details have changed for the upcoming season.
  • Please check your invoice carefully for the correct payment details.
  • If you are unsure about your balance or would like clarification, please get in touch and we will be happy to assist.

Twilight Golf Starts Tomorrow

Manager's Update

I will be away from work for 10 days from this Friday while I undergo knee surgery.

A huge thank you to Robbie Birch, who will be covering while I am away.

Any enquiries or issues will be attended to once I return.

We are also pleased to welcome Maloni Fangatua, who will be joining the team in November to assist in the shop, replacing Josh and Blake. Please make him feel welcome while he settles into the role and learns the ropes.

Local Course Reminders

Repair Pitch Marks & Divots

Please repair pitch marks on greens and divots on fairways and encourage newer members to do the same.

Frost Protocol

Following heavy frost:

  • Course closed in the morning
  • Rolling start from 11:00am

Bare Patches on Greens

Free relief is available from significant bare patches on greens, no nearer the hole.

No. 13 Drainage Area

Use the designated drop zones. Free relief applies under Rule 16.1e.

Ditch on No. 10

The concrete drainage ditch is an immovable obstruction. Complete free relief may be taken under Rule 16.1a(2).

Clean & Place

A one club-length Clean & Place rule remains in effect on your own fairway only.

Power Poles & Power Lines

A ball striking a power pole or power line must be replayed with no penalty.
